    Hello,
I am currently facing two issues with the WooCommerce Checkout Page.

    #1 Wrong Pickup Locations

On the Cart Page everything is correct. The location is correctly named and available to choose.

Once I continue to the checkout page and press on “Pickup” I receive to options:
    – New York
    – Los Angeles

I also receive an error notification “Something went wrong. Please contact us to get assistance.”
In the backend I have setup the location and also enabled local pickup.

Am I missing out on something in the configuration?

    #2 Missing Translations
The language in the Cart and Checkout page is mixed. I already checked the translation file via Loco Translate. The translations are correct but they are not being applied. The other parts affected by WC are being correctly translated into German. Sadly I was not able to resolve this issue.

    Hello londonpizza,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I tried to visit your site but it is under maintenance mode.
Could you disable it so I can visit the site and check the issue from my end?

Also, the screenshot of the cart page shows three pickup locations but the screenshot of the backend where you configure pickup locations shows only one.

Could you share the full-page screenshots of these two pages again?

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Hello londonpizza,

    Thank you for your reply.

I visited your site and I can see New York and Los Angeles as pickup options.
Could you share a screenshot of the page where you have configured the Local pickup?

If you have not already tried, I recommend you switch to the Twenty Twenty-Four theme and check if the issue persists.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Hello @doublezed2

Here you can find the configuration of the local pickup.

A switch of the theme is not an option, since I spent a lot of time with individual customizations ??

    Kind regards

Reuploaded the images, since they are not being displayed correctly.

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the screenshot. I tested adding local pickup on my test site, and it appears to be working as expected. You can view it here: Test Site.

I can replicate the issue on your site, which suggests there may be a plugin conflict or a customization causing the problem. To identify the root cause, I recommend running a conflict test. Setting up a staging site and activating a default theme like Twenty Twenty-Four or Storefront with only WooCommerce enabled will allow you to test without impacting your live site.

For guidance on running a conflict test, please refer to this article: How to Test for Conflicts.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hello @shahzeenfarooq
Thank you for your response. The pickup isse was resolved by deactivating the WPCafe Pro Plugin.

The translation issue still persists. The phrases are translated in the localization file but they are not being applied on the cart/checkout page. Any ideas about that issue? Using the default theme didn’t help for this issue.

    Kind regards

    Hi @londonpizza,

?The pickup isse was resolved by deactivating the WPCafe Pro Plugin.

Glad to hear it – thanks for letting us know!

The phrases are translated in the localization file but they are not being applied on the cart/checkout page. Any ideas about that issue? Using the default theme didn’t help for this issue.

Looking back at your plugins, I could notice you’re using Loco Translate, did you already reach out to their support team to hear what they’ve got to say about that issue with translation? This is because Loco Translate is a third-party plugin and their support stand a better chance helping out with their plugin.

    I hope this helps.

    Thread Starter londonpizza

    (@londonpizza)

    Hello @ckadenge
Thank you for your reply. I have used Loco Translate to translate WPCafe. Since I am not using WPCafe anymore, I have deactivated the Loco Translate Plugin. According to Loco Translate, the WooCommerce German language is 100% translated. The not translated phrases in the checkout/cart page are also translated but the translations are not being applied. I don’t see an issue here related to LT. Switching to a basic theme like twenty twenty-four didn’t resolve the issue either.

    Kind regards

Hi @londonpizza, thanks for the extra details.

I double-checked on on my staging site by switching the normally-in-English site to German, which downloads the appropriate language pack. My test site has cart and checkout pages using the shortcode and blocks respectively, and everywhere it seems to be in German as expected. Case in point:

The checkout block on a recently-activated German site, shows everything in German.

May I suggest you try the following:

    1. Go the either the cart or checkout page, delete the current block, add back the cart and/or checkout block, update, and check if that resolved the issue. If it works on the one page, repeat on the other page. If it doesn’t work, go to No. 2.
    2. It’s possible your site has an older language pack, which hasn’t been updated in a while. If that’s the case, let’s get rid of it and install a new one manually. To so, find it on your site and delete this file: /wp-content/languages/plugins/woocommerce-de_DE.mo. Go to the German language project, and download the language pack as per the instructions in our documenation, and use it as a replacement in the file location above.

I suspect No. 1 to do the trick, or at the very least No. 2. Let us know how it goes!

    Hello @eastofwest

Thank you for your thoughtful approaches. Sadly none of them worked. I have identified the issue. The problem was caused by the language selection of wordpress. There are 5 different German variations in the language settings. The correct translations were applied upon using Deutsch (Sie) instead of the “normal” Deutsch.

The issue is now resolved. Thanks everyone for your help.
