• Hi there,

Although I can view my local WP site in the browser, I cannot view its dashboard. When I click to view the dashboard it just says: “Index of /onemadworld.wordpress.com/wp-admin” and then a list of the files.

The problem was caused when I was trying to update my live site (via Filezilla) and accidentally dragged some of my WP files into the wrong local folders (accidentally moved all my files into the wp-admin folder) so basically, locally the files may be not in the right folders. I have looked at how my back up files are structured (which are now out of date now) and made sure that everything looks like it’s in the right place but it still isn’t working.

Do you know what else might be wrong?

I am using MAMP and the servers are working.

    Many thanks in advance.
    Jacqui

Actually, I have just realised, it is only when I click on ‘Dashboard’ – when I click on ‘themes’, ‘widgets’ and ‘menus’ I go through to the dashboard.

Which file is out of place?

    Cheers ??

Alrighty people! I think I have sorted it.. found there was no ‘index.php’ in my wp-admin folder so I copied it over from an old backup. Seems to be working now.

    Cheers!
