• Hello,

I have copied my website to a local host recently and followed all the steps suggested on migrating using xampp.

My entire wordpress site is in the C:\xampp\htdocs folder.
i have imported the database from my live site to my local database and updated the wp_options database entry siteurl and home to https://localhost/mysite.

i have also edited the wp-config.php file in mysite folder to access the database i have created.

this all seems to work fine because i can go to this in my browser https://localhost/mysite/wp-admin and can log in and see post numbers and all that information. but if i clock on posts or even try and just go to https://localhost/mysite i get a “This site can’t be reached

The webpage at https://localhost/mysite/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.”

ive tried saving settings in permalinks and still nothing.

any help is very appreciated. ??

ps: the reason for this is to test if updating to latest version of wordpress will break things on my site.
