local to host – same login details: NOW WHAT?

when installing wordpress on host site – I used the same udername and password as I do for my localhost test site
Now when I login onto wordpress on host site it redirects me to my localsite.
Should I have not setup host wordpress with same login details and how would I fix this. I see in profile you can not change username so I am a bit a stuck now. Please advise.
