• hi guys!
    I have a huge problem!
    I installed localy with xamp WP ,export my SQL database,uploaded all contents on the remote server,changed the values in the wp-config.php and changed in the wp-options the site url.

    The problem is that everytime i gel the http:\\localhost\xamp\ site.

    What am i doing wrong?

    Please advice!

    There is a second setting in wp-options called “home” that also has to be updated – generally on page 2 when looking in phpMyAdmin

    You may also find your posts table has numerous references to the localhost site. I generally do a search and replace on the sql dump file before importing on another server, replacing all references to the present site with references to the new site.

    I made some changes (don’t really know what) but seems to work now.
    It’s strange that could find a guide ??

    there are too many “localhost”
    I think that the best solution is installing directly

    I happen to have the same problem: I installed WordPress on Xamp, and want to move it on a live host.

    After I upload the files, edit the wp-config.php and wp-options.php what else I should do? I don’t understand why stwlf wrote above about sql dumps, etc. Thank you in advance.
