localhost fresh wpms, cannot login to subdomain ERROR: Cookies are blocked

  • Hi,

    I have a fresh wpms install of 3.8.1 on my xampp, when I try to access my new sub I get this error:

    ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

    I’ve seen similar issues all over related to wp upgrades but they are usually locked out of admin.

    They’re installed but there isn’t any plugins or templates activated yet on this install.

    As I can view the front end and browse root admin panel, as it is a new wpms install I wonder, if there is something I might have overlooked when adding the code to hosts and httpd-vhost-config files that give me this error?

    After looking into this again, when I click the link to my sub in admin I am taken to the wp-login for the sub. I’ve this url if that can be of any help to solve this bug:

    https://subdomain.localhost/mydomain.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fsubdomain.localhost%2Fmydomain.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1
