localhost redirects to the live version!

Guys, I don’t know what to do..

I have a wordpress site in, say, https://example.com/. I want to make an exact copy of the site in the localhost (kind of mirror site). I’ve create mySQL database, create back-ups, copy the files in the back-ups to the localhost, etc. However, everytime I go to https://localhost/local_example, the browser redirects me to https://www.example.com/local_example. I don’t know how to figure these out…
