• Hello,

I have some question regarding a localhost install.

I duplicated my website and installed it in my localhost and I’m using WAMP.

The page results slow navigation/dashboard (same on web version).
Disabling all Plugins brings speed but when I enable the plugins one after another the page starts to be slow.
I have a premium theme, wpml premium and also woocommerce, they are all compatible with my theme. I really does not understand why it is tht slow.

    Thanks for support.

  • Hi danieler,

Improperly written plugins can indeed cause site slowdowns. That said, you stated above, “Disabling all Plugins brings speed but when I enable the plugins one after another the page starts to be slow.” So, my first question would be which one or combination of 3rd party plugins is/are causing your site to slowdown? Once you figure this out I would a) report your findings to the author(s) of the plugin(s) and quite possibly b) find alternate plugins.

P.S., You also stated above, “The page results slow navigation/dashboard (same on web version).” so my guess here is that this issue of yours isn’t localhost specific.

    Sincerely,

    Randy

    Hello Randy,

I don’t know which is causing the slowdown. What I can see is that everytime I enable 1 plugin the page starts to get slower.
I bought a lot of premium plugins to avoid not well written plugins but I think I have not followed my thinking.
The page has not a lot of plugins, around 27 with ca. 66 request. There are a lot of other sites who makes a lot more requests and have more plugins.

Yes, I started writing this post for the localhost but ended up to write it for all.

What could I try to figure out what is happening?

    Regards,
    Daniele
