• Hi, I’m trying to set up a local development version of I site I currently have. I’ve muddled through and gotten WordPress more or less up and running. My problem is similar to the one described in this thread from several years ago:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/any-experts-here-who-run-wordpress-on-localhost

I can only see the front page of my site and whenever I click on any links (pages/posts/categories) I get a “not found” error.

When I migrated the site I used the “relocate method” in the Codex here https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_The_Site_URL

That got the admin section working. So then from the admin section I changed “WordPress address (URL)” and “Site address (url)” to localhost/mysitedirectory . But that only got the homepage working.

I’ve tried a few things I’ve seen in other threads that seemed relevant, including enabling mod_rewrite for apache2. I’ve also done the wordpress XML export/import. Still no luck. I would appreciate any help on getting my site beyond the homepage working on my localhost. Thanks!
