• Hello – thanks in advance for your help, this plugin is amazing. I am trying to allow users to search for members by distance. I added distance to the profile and can also get it to work in the search directory https://upstitching.com/members/ if you click on the righthand side filter. I tried even adding it with a widget, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I would just like a page with easy access to the search.

    Thanks,

    Christine

Also, is it possible to remove that member directory search from the search widget? Ideally i would love the search contained in there on a main page but don’t think there is a way to do that.

    Hello Christine,

For some reason your page doesn’t load the Google maps library.

It could be a plugin conflict, so you can try temporarily deactivating other plugins and see if the problem disappears.

Please let me know what you find out!

Thanks, i can’t figure it out. When disabling them it didn’t work or the ones I could do that didn’t ruin the site. I tried using the profile search widget too on another page and can’t seem to get that to work either. It does work on the members directory page though, and as far as I know all the pages have the same plugins.

    Hi Christine,

I’d offer to take a look at your testing site to fix this problem, but that’s against the WordPress forum policy.

Thanks, i did just check the code not sure if this would help provide insight into the issue?

    Hi Christine,

Yes, those errors are a consequence of ?the Google maps library not being loaded. It’s very hard for me to guess why the library isn’t loaded, without actually looking at the site.

My first guess is a plugin conflict. You could temporarily deactivate all your plugins except BuddyPress, BP Profile Search and BP Distance Search, switch to a default theme, rename bp-custom.php and see if the problem goes away.

If so, reactivate your plugins one at a time and see when the problem reappears. It’s best to do this on a testing site so you don’t affect your main site.
