This is almost certainly caused by a recent change by Google Maps:

A new Dev version of the plugin contains a new option to add a Google Maps API key. You can upgrade to the Dev version of Events Manager under Events > Settings > General > Admin Tools.

Once you’ve upgraded to the Dev version, it’ll be listed under Events > Settings > Formatting > Maps.
