Hello! We love the Events plugin but can’t get the maps to work at all. We are sure the API-key is working because we are using the exact same key in our site builder, Elementor Pro, and it works just fine there.

We’ve added two locations, but the pages say “Map Unavailable”. We are using the latest version of Events installed today, we also tried searching for the addresses in google maps, with a comma delimiter as in the docs and google maps found the correct address.

We also cannot see a map in the back end view of Events. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hello,

1. Can you make sure that you have the proper API Key and have you also entered the Billing Info that is required by Google Maps? https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

2. You could also try and visit this link and follow the Instructions on Enabling the said service: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/32994634/this-api-project-is-not-authorized-to-use-this-api-please-ensure-that-this-api

API key works, tested in another plugin and tested on just a html page by embedding it. We’ve used google API keys a bunch before so we are pretty confident that we are doing it correctly.

The same exact api key works great on this page with an Elementor google maps element.

We have the same problem as marknjones descriped, no map is being loaded at all, even in wp admin.

I see what you mean however just to confirm did you already enabled the correct google api’s and set http referrers ?

we have so too, also as I said it already works for different plugins with the same api key.

Got it working by disabling and re-enabling the APIs needed from developer console. no idea why.
