Location of Data

  • Hi to all. I recently installed WP2.0. I have a question about where to locate WP files.

    I also have Gallery2. G2 recommends locating G2data files in your root directory (that is, above https://www.mydomain.com), where it will not be web accessible (but accessible only by scripts running on the server). G2’s point, as I understand it, is that this configuration makes data more secure.

    Can this be done with WP2.0?
    What file is date stored in?

    Hope that these questions make sense. Appreciate any advice.

    Sorry, not really.
    Questions regarding G2 should be asked in their forum.
    As for placing the WP files (or any file) above your domain’s directory – that sounds like a nonsense.
