Location of "Edit" link on pages when logged in
-
On the twenty eleven theme when you have a single page using the default page type, the “edit” link when you’re logged in appears in the upper left corner just left of the title of the page. However if you use the sidebar template the edit link is in the lower right corner. I can’t figure out how it gets in the upper left corner versus the lower right corner. It’s problematic for me because I have a child theme where I use a wider singular page and the edit link floats over the top of my page title. For example I have the following in my child theme…
.singular .entry-header, .singular .entry-content, .singular footer.entry-meta, .singular #comments-title { margin: 0; width: 95%; }
If I could figure out why it moved from the bottom to the top just because it’s a non-widget page maybe I could figure out how to get it back down in the lower right corner where it wouldn’t interfere with my wider theme.
