Location of error message

Hi,

I have a modal window for my login and noticed that when the registered user hasn’t yet verified his e-mail that the error messages from the plugin is printed on the page in the background and not in the modal window, which depending on which page the user currently is, breaks the design of the page.

Error message:
Your account has to be activated before you can login. You can resend the email with verification link by clicking here.

Where and how can I amend that the plugin error message is shown in the login modal ?
