Location of Plugin Language Strings

Hello,

I love the plugin and it’s functionalities.

For my WordPress-Installation i would like to create a custom translation and use it, instead of the standard english language pack.

Please tell me how to do that (Where is the language file stored and retrived from?, How can I select the new language once it is stored in the correct folder?).
