    Hello,

I’m just wondering if there is a way to indicate where the stage is on my seating chart and also is there any update as to when a ticket printing function would be added.

Finally is there also a way for admin to see what seats have been sold (chart view) without having to go to add a fake sale?

Great plug in, it’s saved us so much time and money!!

    Chris.

    Good questions!

    1. Yes there is a way to show the stage. Assuming that you have created a “default” seating plan by specifying a “Zone Spec” for each Zone, you can export the automatically generated Seating Template from the Seating Plans page. This template can then be edited to add any HTML elements of your choice (which could include (say) an image of the stage), and this could then be Imported back so that it is used for the Box Office output.

    2. I have a beta version that should print tickets to a POS printer, but I have not pursued this further due to lack of the appropriate hardware. If you have a requirement for a ticket printing and have the necessary hardware, maybe we can work together on this.

    3. This is not currently any way to “see” a plan of sold seats, but it is a very good idea, so it’s gone on the “Wish List”!

    Hello,

Great I’ll have a try of doing that!

Yea the ticket printing feature would be an excellent addition as when we do walk up sales it’s easier to just click print on our predesigned ticket and it just filled in the blanks, i.e. name, price eat number and barcode. We just use a Demo able printer and it prints on to a card thats the perfect size of the ticket.

Ahh great that would be a big help, maybe even a way to still allow sales in the admin area once sales stop on the user end of then site? Just a though.

Love this plug in so much though.

Please let me know what you need from me re ticket printing.

    Kind Regards
    Chris.

One last thing Malcolm, I seem to be having trouble exporting the seating chart template since I updated recently.

I don’t think that there have been any recent changes to the Export code, so any change in behaviour may be down to browser settings.

However, I have recently identified that there can be a problem with the “MIME Type” of the download (currently set to text/html) which can cause the downloaded file to be opened in the browser. As the template is only part of an HTML page, this can show as an apparently empty page.

As a workaround, view the source of the (blank) page, which should then show the exported template and copy and paste this to a file.
