    Hello, I’m using Webba booking for table reservation in a restaurant. Is there a way to disable same day booking? I don’t think I can use preparation times as it requires a specific duration, yet it’s not 24 hours, is it?

    Could you kindly clarify the restaurant’s opening hours?

    The opening hours are 11:00 to 22:00 on weekdays and 11:00 to 23:00 on weekends. Normally all the days will be open for reservation, but the restaurant doesn’t want to allow their customers to reserve a table on the same day, as they already arrange the seats based on the reservations before the opening time and can’t change them abruptly. So it would be best if I can disable same day booking, no matter when the customer do the booking (in the morning or during the opening times).

    I believe, if you set 660 in the Preparation time it will work.

    Wow it works like a charm. I don’t quite understand the logic though. Aren’t 660 minutes 11 hours? But it seems not to affect the reservation of the next day, no matter when I check it. Can you please kindly explain the rules for me? Thank you for your help as always. Your team is so helpful, you indeed save me a lot as sometimes our customers have really strange requests that I for sure couldn’t fulfill without your help here.

    Sure, I’d be happy to explain how it works. Let’s assume the customer opens your booking form at 8:00 AM. If we want to make time unavailable until 10:00 PM, we need to lock the upcoming 14 hours. In this case, the value should be 840 (14 x 60 minutes).

    However, there is a limitation with this method: if someone decides to book time slots for the next day late at night, some slots in the morning will not be shown as available. Unfortunately, in the current version, there is no alternative approach to locking today’s bookings other than using the ‘Preparation time’ option.
