Locked contact info in footer of Blocksy Modern Shop Theme

    Hello community. I need help with regard to Blocksy’s Modern Shop Theme:

    1. Regarding the footer menu, widget area 4 of the Blocksy’s Modern Shop Theme: I want to edit the contact details so when I navigate to the widget area 4 to edit the details, I can see a locked icon (https://ibb.co/HKyN6tM) unlike Widget Area 1, 2 and 3 which are all editable. But this is not editable. Is there somewhere that I can unlock this icon to edit.
    2. This theme also has a Trending Now section which I wanted to turn off but could not find any settings to do so.

    For #1, that might actually be semi-correct. The Customiser widgets editing pane is very limited as per its design. It will not present you with the full set of options for a given widget, since it is supposed to be a simple implementation by WordPress. This process is not controlled by us.

    To edit that widget, it is recommended to go to the Appearance -> Widgets pane. From there you will have access to the full set of options, without any restrictions. ?? Something like this – https://ibb.co/cD0NrYJ

    For #2, this is the documentation for the “Trending Posts” extension from Blocksy – https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/docs/extensions/trending-posts/. Should show you how to disable or modify it.

    Hi @eduard. Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated.

    I was able to change the content of Widget Area 4. Hurray.

    But for Trending Post, there wasn’t any obvious option to close the section. But I discovered that by changing the Post Types to Floating Button, the section disappears. However, where is the floating button….cant see it on the page. ??

    Actually the site is on a local machine. Let me show the screenshots

    1. Come default with Blocksy Modern Shop Theme, the Trending Now section (https://ibb.co/QYj1wPz)
    2. After changing the Post Type from Posts to Floating Button (https://ibb.co/0j7Hqxs). Since it is a floating button, i would expect to see it on the page somewhere but I dont see any floating button.

    Not sure if the above explains my situation.

    Ah, that would indeed be the “Trending Posts” extension. It can be easily disabled right from the Extensions pane, as shown previously – https://ibb.co/6nSn1vK. ??

    Disabling it will make it go away for sure.
