Locked me out of my own site

  • 1) 1 click install takes about 7 clicks to set up.

    2) Locked me out of my own site. I’m the admin!

    3) Leaves tons of stuff behind (I realized I didn’t follow the uninstall process)

    4) Intereferes with too many functions.

    1. The one-click Setup Wizard only takes literally one click for BPS to be completely setup. If you want to add Bonus Custom Code that will take some more clicks. If you want to change any of the default settings automatically setup by the Setup Wizard then that would of course take more clicks.

    2. When your Administrator username is harvested by Bots (either by using author enumeration or by accessing WP JSON values), which happens all day long, every day, until the end of time, what happens is BPS Login Security will lockout brute force attacks on your login page by Bots trying to login to your website using your Administrator username/user account. BPS Pro already has a solution for this > BPS Pro JTC Anti-Spam|Anti-Hacker and we have decided to offer a “lite” version of JTC in the BPS free plugin. JTC-Lite will be added in BPS 2.4. It is very limited, but will prevent constant lockouts by Bots trying to brute force login to your website using your WordPress Administrator username/account.

    BPS 2.4 has been released with a limited version of BPS Pro JTC Anti-Spam|Anti-Hacker called JTC-Lite, which will protect the WordPress Login Form and prevent repeated Bot lockouts by Bots trying to hack into your Login Form/website using Brute Force Login attacks on the WP Login page. In plain English this means that instead of your User Account being locked by a Bot trying to hack your Login Form/website the Bot will instead be blocked by JTC-Lite and your User Account will not be locked.
