• Wow this one did not work well at all. I turned on 2FA to be effective immediately. My site logged out and I couldn’t get in because I didn’t have a 2FA. It never popped up the QR code. It never gave backup codes. On the login page it gave directions to click a reset button, but no button was present. I had to actually do a site restore to get my site access back. Luckily I back up before deploying any new plugins. They really need to set this one up better.

    Hello Jasond,

I am sorry to see you are having issues with our plugin.

When the WP 2FA plugin is configured to set 2FA as mandatory without a grace period, you will need to configure 2FA straight away or on next login. This is a security feature that can be enabled or disabled according to one’s requirements. 2FA configuration is done through a wizard that walks you through each step of the configuration process; ensuring 2FA is set up correctly. WP 2FA does not configure 2FA on its own.

We also understand that sometimes, issues happen which is why we offer free email support to all plugin users – as many of the other reviews show. We also have articles in our knowledgebase that cover what you can do should you find yourself locked out – without needing to do a site restore.

Should you decide to give the plugin another go, our support team is more than happy to help should you encounter any issues.

    Many thanks,
    Robert
