Locked out: 2FA enabled for phone, but no phone number under user

  • I enabled 2FA thinking it would send me an email to sign in. I didn’t see any other options for config and so figured config would happen at log-in. At the time, I was busy setting up many backend items.

    I went to log in today and got this message. “Dologin Security: DoLogin Security: No phone number under this user”. When I log-in the attempts don’t go down as well.

    I shouldn’t have been able to enable 2FA authentication using a phone number without a phone number listed. I don’t have any other users on WP.

    Any ideas on what can be done or am I screwed?

    When you enabled dynamic code login, the setting page will show a notice to let you set the mobile phone after saved setting if you don’t have one yet.

    If you didn’t set and get locked out, you can disable the plugin temporarily by rename the folder via ssh or file manager.
