There is no instructions on how to remove manually the plugin, i have been locked out i cant login in WP-Admin, i have renamed the plugin folder “sucuri-scanner” but i still can login, not at all.

  • @monclee What error do you get when trying to log in through wp-admin after renaming the /wp-content/plugins/sucuri-scanner/ directory?

I get no error at all, not even in logs.

    mention debug is enable.

@monclee You don’t receive any error like:

Error: The password you entered for the username admin is incorrect. Lost your password?

If not, what happens when you press “Log In”?

No not error at all, just locked out…

The problem was caused by Sucuri and W3 Total Cache together, stay away from both.

It was a really pain in the ass, in the end, i even found php.ini damaged file, after a lot, a lot of debugin i notice headers were sending before, I do not know yet why that didnt log, any way, after deleting W3c at all some errores come in, the problem is THERE IS NO DOCUMENTATION (at least i didnt find any official info) on how to remove sucuri-scanner manually completely.

Its an Irony, you install sucuri so you dont lose your site and thats exactly what happends , (just kidding) i have sucuri on other 5 sites working great.

Stay away from w3c and sucuri, so far.

@monclee Sorry you experienced that! I will reach out to Sucuri and see if details on removal can be added to their support page for the plugin here: https://sucuri.net/guides/how-to-use-the-wordpress-security-plugin/

    Thanks!
