  • Hi Jason Koning make sure you have also deleted the cache if you have any.

No caching on-site – how can I get around this?
I have phpMyAdmin access for the MySQL db.

Hi I have tested these many times, all I do is renamed the plugin folder and the field is removed.

You might have another plugin adding that field. Try and disable all plugins including this one which should not be there and see what happens. If that does not work then try a different theme and see what happens.

If none of the above work then delete the table using phpMyAdmin through your server.

    Hi there,
Yes, tried everything – which table do I remove from the database please?
    Thanks,
    Jason

Can you share your URL. I am curious to see the field and what is pointing to the field.

    Thank you

I’d really rather not, as it’s an old WP install which desperately needs updating, looking at the file system again WP Super Cache is actually installed, so that may well be part of the issue.
And that database table I need to remove so I can gain admin access is? ??
URL – happy to share – but privately

Ok, I changed user roles in the database, upgraded the editor to admin, logged in, disabled this plugin for (my) admin role, logged out, downgraded that user back to editor, logged in using my admin role.
Success. A bit of mucking about, but a good outcome.
Still have no idea why it still looks like the plugin was active – even though I’d removed it via FTP, my only guess is caching.

That is what I think, that is why in reply number 2 I mentioned cache ??

I am glad you sorted it out.

Yep, didn’t notice that plugin the first time around ??
