• I discovered a big issue (for me, anyways) with this theme……. you cannot edit the meta data on images while in this theme. The site I am building has thousands of images! In order to edit any image I have to switch to another theme that works. I was growing fond of this theme, but sadly – I have to find something better.

Hi @ivarose, oh yes this is potentially a big issue. I want to fix it asap but I can’t reproduce the issue on my side.

Are you using a specific plugin to edit the image’s meta data ?
Can you give me an example of meta data that you can’t edit with the Customizr theme ?

    Thank you !

I wasn’t using a plugin to edit the metadata, I couldn’t get in to edit through the product pages in WooCommerce or under the Media Library tab. If I clicked the edit button, I would get a new page that said something like “Unable to access this page”, no matter which image I clicked.

I am also using a plugin called “Photo Video Gallery Master” but not for editing the photos. I set up my additional images in the Galleries and paste the shortcode into my product description. That is it for anything to do with media, Just WC, the Media Library and this plugin – but I do not edit files using this plugin.

I also had issues on uploading images. Some of them would not get thumbnails. I would try to regenerate thumbnails, some would work – most would not. When I switched back to Twentyseventeen theme, I could edit the images with no problem, however I still could not get the thumbnails to work.

On a separate note, I created a brand new install of WP and WC on a new domain… I uploaded this the gallery plugin and a bunch of images to play with along with the twentyseventeen theme. They loaded perfectly. It took me a while to figure all of this out, but I think its the Customizr theme that created the issue. It sort of messed up my media library on the first install.

I am a novice to WP… I liked your theme and was getting used to it but this issue made me crazy!

    Hope this Helps

Thank you very much for this feedback.

Unfortunately, I’m not able to reproduce the problem for the moment. I keep testing.
I’ll keep you posted if I understand what happens in your specific case.

    Hi Nicolas…

Thanks! I would love to know what happened. It turned into a mass of confusion on my end because I could not see half the images. Some of them I had to upload two or more times – and even then it wasn’t always successful. All of my images are the same width, some might be a little taller than others – but as a rule everything is 500 px wide. I used the same images on my old site for 12 years with no issues. I know it’s not the images or the plugin because I am using them now in twentyseventeen and I haven’t had it happen once.

I hope you can figure it out, I liked Customizr and how adaptive it could be.

    Thanks,
    Peggy
