• I installed this plugin on my WordPress site and paired it with Authy running on my Android phone. Codes matched, thought I was good to go. When I tried to log back into /wpadmin with my regular password, it says it is invalid. I tried logging in with the one-time password as indicated by Authy – still no luck.

Now I am locked out and unable to manage my WordPress site.

  • See this on that plugin’s FAQ page:

BTW, generally better to post in the Support forum rather than reviews if you need help.

Thank you for the tip. Sorry if I put this in the wrong place. Perhaps I imagined it would be noticed by the authors sooner here…

Yeah, well, that’s really not so cool to try to attract attention that way – at least not before posting in the support forum and waiting a reasonable period of time – since help here is free :)!

Since many thing can cause a plugin to malfunction – including many things totally unrelated to the plugin itself, perhaps you might want to reconsidering your rating?

Yes, I realize that now. However, I do think when it comes to two-factor authentication that a plugin should make it at least somewhat hard to lock oneself out. That being said, you are right – I should have posted in the support forum. I will do that and update my review.

I agree with the author on this and since you got good support I’d strongly suggest you rate accordingly. ?? No I have no affiliation

    Hello Cybernico,

Please update your ratings. The authors of this plugin is doing an wonderful job. Please support them. Well, I am not anyway affiliated to them.
