Do not change table names. There is no “login file” and if you’re in the site, then the table prefix is correct.

Im not in the site. I see there is wp_users file so I created it. Now should I move the password and user name from the old to the new one I created?

I don’t know what you mean when you talk about files. If you’re looking at phpmyadmin, you’re looking at TABLES in a DATABASE. Work with the ones that are there.

I really think you need to find someone to help you with your WP site. I get the sense you’re flailing about. Check meetup.com to see if there’s a local WP meetup in your area where you can ask someone to sit with you and do this for you.

I do NOT have the table wp_users since all my login info is under bxnyl0ty_users. When I click the LOGIN box its pointing to wp_users not bxnyl0ty_users… How can I rename the bxnyl0ty_users to wp_users?

You don’t. When the document says “wp_users”, pretend it says ” bxnyl0ty_users”.

You don’t need to rename it at all. It’s normal to replace wp_ with something else, it’s for security purposes (no easy target) and convenience purposes (multiple sites in the same database).

In the guide at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin just pretend every instance of “wp_” is actually “bxnyl0ty_”.

It will not even let me access a new password using my email address…

Nope. Tried that first 3 times. I did the process correctly. There is something else wrong. Know anybody I can hire that works with WordPress?

Hey bdk437, if you login to your Bluehost account and go here: https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/app#/sites

You’ll see a list of your WordPress sites. If you select the site you need to login to and go to the “Users” section you should be able to click the “Log in” button next the username. Alternatively, you can click the 3 dot menu and select “Reset Password” which will automatically login you in and take you to the password reset page inside wp-admin.

OK, I follow this and under Users it says, NONE.

None exist, yet.

Under UPDATES it says 5. Should I update?

By the way the site is active…
