• when I click the Update File button in theme editor, I get this page with two fields and an authenticate button, which I don’t remember getting before. I typed in my wordpress user name and password and it just took me back to the theme editor without the changes I made.

My best guess is that this is related to the Apache password plugin I installed long ago, but since I was never able to get it working, I deactivated it. If that is it, any ideas on how to get rid of this authentication screen? If that’s not it, any ideas what’s going on?

    Thanks

  • I’m having this problem too…. were you able to resolve it?

In my case, I had to go into my wp config .php file and change the DB_HOST setting to “localhost” to avoid that error.

    Hope this helps.

I’m having the same problem and the Hofuzz tip didn’t help, because I already have “localhost’ as my DB_HOST.

Is that possible to get some support on this?

I am still having this problem…Any new solutions?
