• I am having a really weird problem I desperately need help with.
I am unable to access a website I’ve been helping my mom update. Basically every time I try its like the internet or site is down. Chrome will give me the following error:

This site can’t be reached https://www.friendsforthecure.ca took too long to respond.
    Search Google for friendsforthecure.ca
    ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

The really weird thing is that this is only for my computer. The website can be accessed fine from any other computer. But mine seems to have been ‘barred’ almost.
This resulted from trying to change a sponsor image in the footer. The exact steps were as follows:
    – Accessed the website admin panel through my browser.
    – Clicked on APPEARANCES and chose the editor. We’re using the renown theme.
    – Clicked to customize the theme. I was brought to an editor on the front page.
    – Found the widget section for the footer and the code that was set up for the existing sponsor image. I had another image I wanted to swap it out with in my media folder, so I replaced the image source link.
    – Tried to publish the page and received an error message saying that it could not be processed at that time.

Since then I have been completely and unable to access the website period, regardless of what I do. I have tried the following:
    – Cleared my browsing history and caches
    – Tried to access the site using incognito
    – Tried to use a different browser (internet explorer)
    – Restarted the computer
    – Got my mom, who also has admin access, to disable all plug ins

It basically seems to have decided to just block my computer from accessing the site. Really stumped on this one as I don’t know how to undo the issue.

I’m using Google Chrome Version 72.0.3626.96 (its up to date). Please let me know if I can provide any more information that will resolve this issue.

Do you have any security plugins installed that might have locked you out for doing something they deemed suspicious?

    Check with your host.
