Access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename everything except the /twentyten/ directory. This will force the Twenty Ten theme to activate.

You’ll be able to access your blog again and work on the theme-specific issue. I’d suggest replacing the /wd2/functions.php file with a copy from a fresh un-edited download of the theme, but it should like you already did that.

Thanks for the fast response! Ok, well I already deleted everything except for the default and classic themes. I figured that would force the default to activate. I am still getting the same message on 3 different computers when I navigate to the site – wdlandscapemanagement.com

This really is making no sense to me…

Try resettings your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

Ok, gave it a try by creating the empty plugins folder on ftp server and still get the same message

Access your server again via FTP and confirm that the /wp-content/themes/wd2/ directory has been deleted or renamed. You shouldn’t be seeing the error if it has because there’d be no file for it to reference.

It is 100% for sure not there. I am totally stumped, I thought the same that it should not show that error message if there is no wd2 theme…

Is there anything else I can do to get back in to the admin? I must have this site up soon ??

I really appreciate all of the help so far!

And you’ve accessed it via FTP, and you do not see the file there?

Were you using any cache plugins?

Can you check on another browser?

    No File = No Error

    (@loudivers)

Yep accessed via FTP cyberduck and it is not there.

The only plugins used were a seo plugin and flash gallery plugin. When i went to the plugins folder they were not in there though.

When I try safari it just says it cannot establish a secure connection but no error.

Yes I know no file = no error, this is killing me!

Ok, so the error is gone and you’re only seeing it in the other browser because it’s stuck in that browser’s cache. Just clear that browser’s cache and you should be fine.

Cleared cache cleared cookies, and still same error message

Just want to be sure that my best option is probably going to be an uninstall and reinstall of wordpress on this domain before I put myself through the agony of redoing everything???

    (@macmanx)

Are we talking about https://wdlandscapemanagement.com/ ?

If so, https://wdlandscapemanagement.com/wp-content/themes/wd2/functions.php still physically exists according to all of my browsers.

The file is still there. Are you using an actual FTP client or your hosting provider’s file manager?

    (@loudivers)

or will the reinstall atleast fix the problem?
