Locked out while awaiting update

    Just wanted to point out that I’ve had 2 occasions where the plugin is awaiting an update, and while in that state, it doesn’t redirect to the secret URL. I have to rename the plugin folder, login with the original URL, run the update and then reactivate. Just FYI, in case someone else runs into it.

    Hello,

    It’s a great plugin. Happy to have it.

    I changed the slug to /start and redirect to the homepage. I realized what was happening because while I was logged in to the site on one computer, I was trying to log in from a second computer but kept ending up on the homepage. Once I ran the update from the first computer, everything worked again.

    On a second site, I wasn’t so lucky. I had to use cPanel to rename the folder, log in with the original wp-admin, and then run the update. It worked fine again after that.

    Did you empty your cache ?

    wp-login.php and wp-admin should be excluded from cache.

    If your host is WPEngine, you should contact their support.
