• When I add a new widget to my wordpress site it gets locked and I can’t open or move it. The widgets are added to the primary panel.

    What’s wrong?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

All new widgets I add get’s locked. I can’t move, erase or open them. They are totally locked.

It started with a text widget that locked itself. All new widgets added after that one gets locked.

I tried to switch to another theme but it didn’t work.

How do I deactivate all plugins? I couldn’t find where to do this?
