Locking up with error code

    I can not get this plugin to work. I was looking for and alternative to the mail() function because people weren’t getting emails and found this plugin and thought I’d give it a try. Unfortunately even though I have all of the required info from google developers and it says it’s connected I can not send a test email.

    This is my error:
    Connection: opening to smtp.gmail.com:587, timeout=300, options=array ()

    All it does is lock up the page and to escape it I click to my dashboard and this error shows. How do I fix this.

    Hi, Who is your web host? Did you try SSL on port 465? Please copy and paste the content from the “Server Info” tab so I can take a look.

    I actually got to the bottom of it, GoDaddy does not allow third party mailing systems.
