    Hi,

I authorized the plugin with my Google account which has several other client Google Analytics accounts attached to it.

So if I clicked “Lock Selection” in the view selection dropdown in the General settings, then no one should be able to access data for my other client accounts through the current client’s WordPress account right?

This is pretty important due to privacy issues, etc.

    Thanks!

  • As long as the client doesn’t have access to the database nor access to edit files it’s safe. Having access is not enough, meaning that he needs to have the knowledge to programmatically force a profile refresh. From a security point of view, not having the mentioned access is the way to go. Otherwise the safest solution is to let your client use his own Google account and use the Google Analytics user management feature to share the Property with you for management and maintenance purposes, for example.
