Log-in

  • I have a wordpress theme on my website. So when I type in my website/wp-admin it will not allow me to log in. I have tried changing my password and it still doesn’t work. So I currently have no access to my website. What do I do? Thanks!

    Nothing! The log-in part wiggles back and forth and then says you have 3 more tries to log in correctly.

    That is not part of WordPress by default. Are you using a limit logins plugin?

    Yes! And I don’t think I am using a limit logins plugin. I am like a wordpress virgin. I had to have someone else help me upload the wordpress theme to my website. So I am not very good with this stuff. ha! But I have the right password so I fail to understand why I am still unable to log in.

    Perhaps you should have word with whoever installed this site & its plugins. WordPress does not limit login attempts by default, so you must be using a plugin for this. It’s also possible that you’ve now exceeded the number of allowed login attempts and are blocked for a while. Your developer should know more.
