Log in to admin page expiring after 15 minutes

  • Why is my admin login expiring after 15 minutes? I’ll be typing away on a post or page and instead of saving it, WP asks me to log back in and loses my changes. I tried clearing out cookies and cache in IE6, but it didn’t help. This is on a Win2003 server with IIS6 and PHP 5.

    Six weeks and nobody has any idea why this is happening?

    Seven months and the 2.2.1 version still has this same problem. It would be really great if the Pages were auto-saved the same as the Posts are.

    It must be on your end (or the server) – I stay logged in for weeks…

    It seems to be specific to writing a Page. If I create a page, type in some text, wait about 20 minutes, then hit “Save”, WP prompts me for my admin password and then returns to the Admin menu like nothing ever happened, and it doesn’t save my new Page. What’s aggravating is if I’m typing away for more than 15 minutes it doesn’t save my changes.
