Log in to leave a Comment constantly looping

Hi;
When I don’t log in on my site and access authors’ posts from their public profile page I am shown the message ‘Log in to leave a comment’ that displays right through the avatar and author name. That in itself is an issue.

The bigger issue is that when I click on that link (log in to leave a comment), it doesn’t forward me to the login screen but merely redirects to same post I am seeing. In other words, it merely loops around.

How can I fix this please?
