• Thank you for this great plugin. I have just started doing some testing on my in development website and I see that when trying to login via a facebook account (I have not yet tried other social networks) that it, for some reason, gives users the option to uncheck email address.

Public profile says “required” and cannot be unchecked while Email address does not show “required”, despite my having selected it, and so it can be unchecked. How can I require it be selected and not allow it be unchecked? Thank you and keep up the great work!

    Hi,

We cannot do anything about it, as the popup asking users to grant access to their profile data and email address is controlled by Facebook. This happens according to their policies.

Understood. In the case that a user does uncheck the email address checkbox in the pop up when registering does this then mean they get registered on the site but no email address field is populated in wordpress?

Is this the same for the other Social networks (Google+, LinkedIn, etc) or is it on a case by case basis? Thanks again.

If you have enabled Email Required option in Advanced Configuration section at Super Socializer > Social Login page in admin area, user will be prompted to provide their email address. If you want to fetch valid email address, you can enable Enable email verification option from same section at same page.

Users can opt-out from providing their email address only in case of Facebook. LinkedIn, Google+, Twitch and Xing provide email address of user (without an option for users to opt-out). Twitter, Instagram, Vkontakte and Steam Social Login do not provide email address.
