Log in/Subscribe to Category

Hi
I have been searching but couldnt find a plugin that allows me to restrict a category to subscription only. So all other categories/post would be public – but these categories would give you a message to sign up /subscribe or login – which ever one.
I saw a few things about templates and PHP – but I dont know how to do any of those.
