    I have MC4WP setup as a stand-alone form and via Contact form 7. When I subscribe by either, I get a positive log message. See the log extract below.

    However, the email isn’t added to Mailchimp and I don’t get the double opt-in email.

    Please could you give me some advice on next steps for debugging. Thank you!

    With double opt-in turned on, as long as the subscriber doesn’t confirm the subscription by clicking the link in the opt-in email it won’t show up in Mailchimp. Would that explain the issue?

    I believe that Stuart said he received no double opt-in email at all.

    I am having the same problem without even using Contact Form 7. I just put the subscribe form onto a page in my WordPress website, adnneiu.com. Help please! This is the last thing the website needs.

    Steps:

    1. I did the setup in Mailchimp (made an Audience, settings, etc.).
    2. Installed Mailchimp plug-in and made the form in MC4WP/Form.
    3. Made new page, accessible through 2 menu pages (Blog and Contact) with a link called “Sign up for my newsletter.”
    4. User steps:
      • Go to page Blog
      • Click on “Sign up…” link.
      • Enter First name , Last name and Email address, click the “Sign up” button.
    5. When I check that email address, there is no double opt-in email in any folder.
    6. When I check the Audience list in Mailchimp, nothing was added (of course, as there was no double opt-in email.)

    Was this this marked resolved erroneously?

    Question for Stuart: where is this Mailchimp log you looked at, that indicated “success”?

    Hey @stuartgpalmer,

    I tested the form and did get the “Double Opt-in” email. You can see this at https://www.dropbox.com/s/clef5tgzdv0bbaz/Screenshot%202023-07-06%20at%206.43.52%20AM.png?dl=0.

    The email was in the spam folder.

    @conniebuschlcc Please test using some other email address that you may own.

    Thank you @hchouhan. The double opt-ins are indeed going to spam. Apologies for not checking this.

    Yes, I figured out the issues.

    • I had not yet verified the domain in Mailchimp.
    • We had not planned to set up emails in that domain, but I decided that I had to, both to verify the domain and to ensure that the mailings did not end up in people’s spam folders.
