    I’m having problems with users that are logged in from the front end via Buddypress. When you click on the ‘Write’ link you are redirected to mysite.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=write%2F

    After entering user name and password, the password field becomes blank and nothing happens.When you click the back to site button it shows that the user is logged in.

    I am using the correct slug ‘write’ for the page so not sure why it redirects to login. It works fine for me as an administrator.

    Please help.

    @fandoment, You can’t ask for login credentials on these forums, but of course you can do what you wish on your own support.

    Off topic and as an FYI: I deleted the plugin author’s offer. This is what I usually reply with as a form letter.

    @fandoment I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    I get a lot of mileage out of that one.

    It turns out that the username did not have Writer Privileges for WriteShare.

    https://wpwriteshare.com/setup-instructions/request-writer-status/
    You can see there how to grant site members automatic status as WRITER – and how to do it manually, as well.

    @fandoment
    Thank you.

    I guess this is caused by creating a user from the WordPress admin rather than via WriteShare.

    Thanks for looking at this for me.
