Hi there,
Ecwid team is here to help you. Thanks a lot for your post.
We are extremely sorry, that you faced the problem. Please, let me explain this behavior. When you are logged in to your Ecwid account, your browser remembers the session. This allows you to open your Ecwid Control Panel without the need of inputting your account credentials each time.
Since the info that you logged in to your account is saved in a browser, you can be logged in to only 1 Ecwid account at a time. That’s why when you opened your another website in a separate tab and installed our plugin to the second website, Ecwid thought that you wanted to add the same store to the website as well.
Therefore, if you want to manage two Ecwid stores at a time, you have three options:
To use different browsers for different Ecwid stores.
To open your second Ecwid account in an “incognito” window of your browser.
To close the tab with your first Ecwid store before opening the second one.
Also, please, note, that when you are connecting an existing Ecwid store to a WordPress website and Ecwid suggests you the wrong account, you can click the “Not You?” link to log in to the correct one (screenshot).
Hope I was helpful. If you have any questions, please, feel free to ask.
