• Hi,

After performing a restore on my site when trying to login to the admin dashboard I am just taken to the homepage with a link to the qode options at the top.
When clicking on the qode options I am taken to the wordpress admin dashboard, but can only see Qode, Codepinch and Weblizar twitter widget.

I initially thought my usual account had lost its admin credentials so I created a test administrator account in the database but this has exactly the same issue.

The site is working almost correctly just the instagram plugin needs a new token and a few display issues, but I am not sure how to resolve this issue.

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • First things first, let’s rule out plugins and your theme as the cause of the problems.

Check here and follow the instructions in the FTP/SFTP section on how to manually disable your plugins. Check and see if that resolved the issue. If successful, begin re-enabling plugins one by one to sniff out the cause.

If that does not help, navigate to your themes via FTP/SFTP and rename your active theme to force your site to load with a default theme. Try and load the dashboard after that.

    Hi,

Thanks for the info I have followed your suggestions, and unfortunately we have not resolved the problem here is what we found:

Renamed the plugin folder just get a blank white screen when trying to access website and access admin dashboard.
When going to the wp-admin login page got the following error: W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/fiddesracing/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

Renamed the file above and W3 Total Cache still cannot access the dashboard.
As soon as I reverted back the plugins folder to its original name website loaded as before and just quode option on the admin dashboard.

Then tried renaming the theme folder I get a white blank screen when trying to load the website and the following error when trying to load wp-admin
Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

I have been through the plugins one by one disabling them, it is the backup guard plugin that causes the same behaviour as above blank white screen when trying to access the website, the issue only occurred after running a restore,
