Logging out to home page

Hi,

I posted this at the Buddypress forum but did not receive any reply so am hoping some experienced person can answer. In fact, it may not be a BuddyPress problem after all.

When I click the ‘log out’ from my BuddyPress menu, I am taken to the default WordPress login page whereas I want to land upon the homepage. I did some search and came up with some articles several years old where it is suggested to make changes in the theme code. I want to avoid this so am wondering if there is any plugin, etc. that can resolve this.
