    hello,

I have not logged into the website.com/wp-admin in over 3 years and now I am unable to login because I (apparently) forgot my username and password. I do have access to the blue host hosting site but am not computer savvy and really don’t want to mess with that unless instructions are VERY clear. I have read you can do it by getting into the FTP? But have no clue how because. Is there anyway for me to locate the primary username? So then I can reset the password?

Depending on how many email addresses you’ve used in the last 3 years, it might be worth trying the “Lost Password” link from the login screen:

    website.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

If this does not work, you’ll need to reset your password a different way. You cannot access or change your login credentials via FTP. There are a variety of options through your hosting account, though, and the easiest way would be by logging into your hosting account and accessing cPanel, then accessing phpmyadmin.

    Here are some step-by-step instructions:

Thank you. That worked going through the phpmyadmin!
