takes me to a message -Database Update Required-
WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.
BUT after I click the update button I cannot get to the dashboard at all.
It seems to be a closed loop. I have tried logging out and clearing cache. what’s up? I’m not fluent on the back end so this is a big problem.
    thanks,
    Ry

  • Hi,

Try clearing the cache of the browser, access the site again and try the upgrade. This should work.

    Hello,

Your upgrade may not have completed successfully. Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. You may need to try logging into your site to get this to kick in fully.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-running the upgrade manually.

thanks – I did clear cache but I’ll try it again. I’m not sure what “running the upgrade manually” means.
