• Hi.
I have this issue since I updated the User Picture Profile plugin (that I uninstalled afterward with no effect).

When users try to log in to the site, the site does not accept the password and asks to fill out a captcha that does not appear anywhere.

I tried to install Google reCaptcha, but it doesn’t work since I’m hosted on altervista.
    I disabled it.

At the moment I had to disable the Ultimate Member plugin to let people access the site, but as I restricted some content according to the user role, I need to reactivate a working plugin ASAP.

Any clue on how to fix this?

    Thanks and regards

    As a further note:

I have the same issue on another site at https://farmina.altervista.org
I did not take any action on the site, so I’m now guessing it is not due to the other plugin update I did.
I cannot understand why this occurs and it is frustrating, as I have a lot of users complaining and I have no idea how to fix it.

    Looking forward to any help.

    Hi @piriland,

Do you have our free Ultimate member Google reCaptcha extension installed?
Please make sure to download and install the latest version of the extension and see if it helps.
Do a quick conflict test so we can rule out conflicts with other plugins or your theme.
Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Regards.

    Hi @ultimatemembersupport thanks for replying.

Yes, I have the reCaptcha installed, but I installed it AFTER I got that problem and it didn’t solve. Furthermore, I can’t use the extension, as I have the site on an altervista subdomain and (if I am correct) the extension doesn’t work directly on subdomains.

As you could probably see from my second post, I also have the same issue on another site with different plugins installed.

I already had a conflict test and the same issue occurs also if UM is the only active plugin and on two different themes.

I frankly have no idea how to solve it. Nobody can log-in (I do from wp-admin, but I can’t from the login page) and all content restrictions are not working as they were based on UM Roles and to keep the site running I had to disable log-in.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I too have the issue with the reCaptcha working. It worked flawlessly when I first set it up a month ago and now the reCaptcha fields do not show and actually gives the following error.

Could not connect to the reCAPTCHA service.

Please check your internet connection and reload to get a reCAPTCHA challenge.

I know the reCaptcha account is good and I have actually re-registered the keys and still nothing. It’s as if the connection from the plugin is not communicating to the servers.

    Hi @ultimatemembersupport,

Any idea on how to solve this? It is becoming quite an issue and I’d need to find a solution in a short time…Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thanks a lot

I am in agreement with @piriland, @ultimatemembersupport we need to try and find a solution to this as soon as possible.
