    Hello,

just to bring this to your attention. While hacking-attempts have long since become routine, I noticed an interesting development. In the last two days I have seen unauthorized acces attempts coming from TOR end-points run by German and Swiss so-called provacy-organisations. Anyone else having noticed something similar ?

    Keep up the good work,

    Tom

    Tom,

Yes, we have heard a few other reports of hack attempts coming through TOR. I have seen attempts from other proxy/VPN services as well. Depending on what type of visitors you have, if you don’t expect valid visits from TOR, you can block them like regular visitors if you want. It’s possible regular users using TOR would be blocked as well, though.

Alternately, if you run a site that has a local focus and doesn’t need traffic from other countries, the premium version does also have the ability to block IPs by country, which can reduce the number of possible login attempts.
