Login Blocked

    Hi there,

    I created a local WordPress site on my laptop and uploaded it to the internet. This all went smoothly and the website is fully operational.

    There is only one problem. I can login just fine to the Dashboard from my computer, the one the site was made on, but cannot from any other computer. Anytime I try to login from a different computer, a completely white page with only the words “Blocked” in the uppermost left corner appears.

    Any solutions?

    I was thinking that…but where would this whitelisting security plugin be located?

    In your plugins folder – as that’s where all WordPress plugins *should* reside.

    Having the same issue. Did you solve it?

    Just found the issue. The problem was in my functions.php, a fuction I added.

    first disable the plugin that block your ip (simply rename the plugin’s folder name), you might also need to check htaccess file see if your ip got blocked there. and then you should be able to login, after that reactivate it.

    Yes I deleted the Askimet and Hello Dolly plugins and everything was resolved.

    May i ask what the problematic function in functions.php was? I am also having the “Blocked” problem, but i only happens when I have not yet logged in on wp-admin.
