• I have restricted user access to the back end, and I do want it this way. The problem I am having is that when they are logged in, they are brought to the profile.php page, which is restricted, so they think the system is broken. They can go back to the site home page and choose the make post links that let them submit a post, but they generally think the whole thing isn’t working and email me instead. I can add text explaining what to expect, but it would be SO much better if I could either not send them to the profile.php page (best), or let them have access to that one page (not as good, but OK).

    Any suggestions or workarounds?

    Thanks!!

Solved it. I installed WP-Hide Dashboard to take care of the admin restriction side of things and turned off the restrictions in WP User Frontend. This still brings novice users to the profile.php page when they log in (ugly), so I’d love to redirect them to the home page instead — anyone know where to do that?

Have you tried Peter’s Redirect login?

    It works for me.
